WASHINGTON (WUSA) -- Anything that leaves Bryce Harper's mouth has a chance of becoming an internet sensation.
Though his recent comments about pursuing a career after baseball didn't take off like "Clown Question Bro," Harper professed his adoration for firefighters via the Curly W blog.
"I'd probably be a firefighter. Ever since I was growing up, I wanted to
be a firefighter or a baseball player. Going into the offseason, I'm
going to get my EMT and do the firefighting thing so I have something to
fall back on."
One fire station in Arlington heard Harper's message loud and clear. Cherrydale Volunteer Fire Department in Arlington, Va. has invited Harper to join the ranks this winter.

Is it just me, or does anyone else think Harper is going to actually do this? Just think about all the young women who already are infatuated with the baseball player Harper. Now add hunky fire gear to him.
Can't you just picture Bryce saving a life or doing something miraculous in his fire gear -- prompting some of us to wonder if he's the second coming. Hopefully fighting fires doesn't give him more of a thrill than leading the Nationals to a potential World Series run. Would Mike Rizzo allow this, though?
