New York, NY (Sports Network) - New Orleans Saints linebacker Lawrence Wilson
has been suspended for one game and fined a total of two game paychecks for
violating the NFL's substance abuse policy.
Wilson will be able to practice and play preseason games, but should he make
the Saints' roster, he will sit out the team's opener against the Washington
Redskins.
The 24-year-old was drafted in the sixth round of the 2011 draft by the
Carolina Panthers, but was released from the practice squad after getting
arrested for a misdemeanor marijuana possession and speeding in November.
