Curtis Lee Sargent Jr., Arrested For Three Sexual Assaults In Suitland, Md.

PALMER PARK, Md. (WUSA) -- Prince George's County Police arrested Curtis Lee Sargent Jr., 19, for three sexual assaults that took place all in one night in Suitland.

The first incident occured on Thursday, July 5th at approximately 3 a.m. when a man stopped to ask for directions to the Suitland Metro Station. Sargent then showed a handgun, demanded money and forced the victim to park at 5900 block of Suitland Road where he sexually assaulted the man.

About 40 minutes later, nearly 500 yards away, the suspect approached two women as they were walking home on the 6200 block of Suitland Road. Sargent again displayed a handgun and sexually assaulted the second victim.

The other woman ran to call police but while she was attempting to get help the suspect forced the third victim into a front yard and sexually assaulted her.

Shortly after, police searched the area with the help of a K-9 and found a person matching the description of the suspect on John Street and Suitland Road. The weapon was also recovered.

Sargent faces numerous charges including rape and first degree assault. A photo will not be released since the suspect may be linked to other crimes.
