WASHINGTON, DC (WUSA) -- Those fold up paper maps may soon be passe.

The forty millon people who hit the road for the July Fourth holiday arrived at their destination with the help of a GPS.

More and more drivers are turning to the mobile devices for directions.

And several states report they are printing far fewer free maps than they did ten years ago.
