WASHINGTON (WUSA) -- The Virginia Department of Transportation lifted the high occupancy vehicle (HOV) requirement of two or more passengers on eastbound Interstate 66 inside the Beltway for Monday morning's rush hour. Regular HOV restrictions remain in effect on I-66 outside the Beltway and on I-95/395.
HOV restrictions are also lifted on I-270.
Transportation officials are making these changes to help with traffic flow since storm damage is still blocking some roads and causing delays.
