WASHINGTON (WUSA) -- Metro is telling customers to make sure to allow extra time for traveling through the system on Monday morning.
Metro officials say that approximately 24 Metrobus routes have been detoured due to downed power lines and trees.
Metro may have impose train speed restrictions in order to maintain enough power in case commercial power is lost, so Metro is asking riders to allow for additional travel time Monday morning.
All Metrorail stations are expected to open normally Monday. Sunday evening, some stations were operating on backup power systems and emergency lighting.
