WASHINGTON (WUSA) - Harris Teeter has distributed all of the free ice sent to its stores in Virginia and Maryland.
The popular grocery store distributed ice from tractor-trailers on Sunday to nine of its local stores to help community members in Northern Virginia and Maryland whose electrical service was interrupted by Friday's storm.
Each trailer contained about 2,800, 10-pound bags of ice.
Harris Teeter says they are trying to obtain more bags for distribution.
