WASHINGTON, DC (WUSA) -- The 46th annual Smithsonian Folklife Festival is underway.
This year the festival is celebrating three themes and there will be a celebration of funk.
The Smithsonian Folklife Festival runs from today through July 1st and July 27th-July 8th at the National Mall between 7th and 14th streest.
Wednesday evening the National Museum of African American History and Culture will present Bring Back the Funk featuring George Clinton, Ivan Neville and Dumpstaphunk and Meshell Ndegeocello.
The George Clinton concert will take place in the Panorama Room stage near 14th street at 6pm.
