HERNDON, Va. (WUSA) -- Fairfax County Police have charged a 17-year-old boy from the Herndon area for stabbing three horses back in April and other animals in May.
The slashings happened at Frying Pan Park on April 26 and May 26. Three horses were stabbed on April 26. More animals were injured later. Two goats, a calf and a chicken were cut sometime between the night of May 26 and the morning of May 27.
The teen was arrested on Saturday at the Reston Police District police station after police received a tip on Friday. The 17-year-old has been charged with four felony counts of maiming animals, three misdemeanor counts of cruelty to animals and two counts of unlawful entry.
