LA PLATA, Md. (WUSA) - A fatal accident was reported early Sunday in Charles County.

Police say that a Chevy Tahoe was traveling south on 210 at Lewis Place when it traveled into the median, and hit a Chevy Trailblazer that was heading north on the same highway.

Police then say after being hit, the Tahoe sideswiped a Nissan Altima traveling north, injured Marquetta Rochelle McGee, and killed a 7-year-old passenger, Jan-nae Alicia Woodard of Waldorf.

La Plata officials say alcohol played a part in the Chevy Tahoe crossing lanes and hitting two cars.
