WASHINGTON (WUSA) -- Arthritis is a condition that affects close to 40 million people worldwide, but it's not just the elderly who suffer.

Liz Smith is a long-time volunteer of the Arthritis Foundation.  Her daughter had signs of arthritis when she was 2 and a half. She is now a 20-year-old college student.
