Fairfax County Courthouse Evacuated After Bomb Threat

(WUSA) -- Authorities say that the Fairfax County Courthouse located on Chain Bridge Road in Fairfax, Va. has been evacuated due to a bomb threat.

The bomb threat interrupted all trials and Circuit Court is closed for the day.

According to the sheriff's department website, all preliminary  hearings scheduled for 2 p.m. in the General District Court are canceled and will be rescheduled. Court cases in the Juvenile and Domestic Relations District Court will be continued at a later date. Also, all juvenile intake services will be relocated to the Juvenile Detention Center at 10650 Page Ave.

The juvenile drivers license ceremony scheduled for Wednesday afternoon will be rescheduled.
