WALDORF, Md. (WUSA) --  Charles County Sheriff's detectives want to find the man wanted in connection with a robbery near Lakewood Place at Sweetbriar Place in Waldorf.

Detectives say that a female was walking in the neighborhood around noon on June 1 when a man -- described as a black male in his 20's about 5'10" tall with a thin build -- approached her from behind. The man reportedly took out a knife and demanded the victim's property. She gave him what he wanted and the suspect fled.

Detectives say he also had long, waist-length dreadlocks. He was wearing a white tank top and blue jeans at the time of the crime and appeared to have poor hygiene. He also had a deep voice.

Authorities hope that someone may have information about the suspect. If you do, they ask you to please call the Charles County Sheriff's Office at 301-932-2222 or Crime Solvers at 1-866-411-TIPS. You can also text CHARLES + your tip to CRIMES or visit www.ccso.us to submit a web tip.
