PRINCE WILLIAM COUNTY, Va. (WUSA) - A car dragged a Dale City man up Interstate 95 on Thursday evening, according to Virginia State Police, who are seeking the public's help in locating the car, a dark, late model sedan, and its driver.
At approximately 6:50 p.m., witnesses say the car was going north on Interstate 95 when the rear passenger-side door opened and a man fell out near the 156 mile marker. The man was then dragged by the vehicle for more than 200 feet before dropping into the roadway. The car, a dark sedan, had two black males and one white male inside. It continued north on Interstate 95.
The victim, a 35-year-old Dale City male, was flown to Inova Fairfax Hospital. His injuries are not considered life-threatening.
State police are trying to determine determine if the man was thrown or jumped out of the car. The incident is still under investigation.
