Police: Couple Pistol-Whipped Man, Took Family-Funeral Money

CULPEPER, Va. (WUSA) -- Culpeper authorities are looking for two people accused of robbing and pistol-whipping a man in his apartment on Saturday morning.

Authorities say 25-year-old Terell C. Poteat entered the victim's home, then pistol-whipped him. Poteat is also accused of taking money from the victim. 

The victim says that money was put aside to pay for a relative's funeral.

Poteat was reportedly with 18-year-old Christina N. Jenkins at a 7-Eleven in the 400 block of South Main Street sometime before the robbery.

Poteat is described as a black male, approximately 5'10" tall, weighing between 160 and 175 pounds. 

Jenkins is described as a white female, with blond hair and blue eyes, approximately 5'9 inches tall and 140 pounds.

The victim suffered a gash to his cheek and was treated and released from the hospital.
