ANNAPOLIS (WUSA) -- The Maryland Senate voted 33-13 for the budget reconciliation measure, which now will go to the House for debate. There is a related bill to raise income taxes for residents who make more than $100,000 a year, which the Senate is now debating.
The Maryland Senate passed a measure to shift the cost of teacher pensions to counties, reports 9 News Now's Scott Broom. Broom reports that some Montgomery County Democratic delegates will vote no because it "hurts their constituents"and also because the shifting of pensions to the county is considered unfair.
