WASHINGTON (WUSA) -- DC Police are investigating two overnight shootings in the District, one of which resulted in a man's death.
Police tell 9 NEWS NOW officers were called to the 3300 block of 14th Place around 11:30 Tuesday night to investigate a report of a shooting. When police arrived on the scene they found a man suffering from gun shot wounds to the head and back. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
The victim's name has not been released pending notification of next of kin.
DC Police officials say officers also responded to a shooting in the 600 block of 53rd Street late Tuesday night, where they found a man suffering from a non-life-threatening gun shot wound. According to a DC Police Tweet, the man was conscious and breathing when he was taken to a local hospital.
Right now police have no information to release on possible suspects or motive in either shooting.
