BALTIMORE (AP) - Baltimore police say they've charged a man for a videotaped St. Patrick's Day weekend beating of a tourist that went viral on the Internet.
Police announced the charges Friday night, after releasing images of three people from the video that shows the man being beaten, stripped and robbed outside a courthouse.
Twenty-one-year-old Aaron Parsons of Baltimore surrendered to police Friday night. He is charged with robbery, assault and other offenses. His lawyer says he will plead not guilty.
After police learned of the video, they connected it to a report from a 31-year-old man from Arlington, Va., on March 19. The man told police that he had been at a club the night before, but woke up with a black eye and missing his watch, phone and car keys.
