CAPITOL HEIGHTS, Md. (WUSA) -- Prince George's County Police are on the scene of an apparent murder and suicide in Capitol Heights.

On April 3, 2012, at approximately 1:16 a.m., patrol officers responded to the 1000 block of Nyanga Avenue for the report of a shooting.

Upon arrival, officers were informed by a relative that she found her aunt and uncle unresponsive when she arrived home. Patrol officers entered the residence and found Marilyn Yvette Mace, 52, and Dennis Bernard Mace, 53, suffering from gunshot wounds.

Both were pronounced dead on the scene. Both the suspect and victim were married. Detectives believe that the suspect shot his wife and then himself.
