It's go time.

In less than 24 hours, the race will be here, and as I sit down to write my final pre-race blog post, I'm definitely feeling a mix of emotions.

I could tell you how nervous I am. While I know that my legs have hundreds of miles in them and that I've built my endurance properly, pre-race day jitters never fail to get the best of me.

I could also tell you that marathon training makes me hungry enough to eat my arm off. These hunger pangs are something that I definitely won't miss. As I type this, I dream of Chipotle, steak, and mashed potatoes (don't judge).

Or I could tell you that I can't believe that months of training, hundreds of thousands of dollars fundraised for the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, two sticks of Body Glide, one black toenail, dozens of bananas, and gallons of Gatorade will all come down to tomorrow morning.

Instead, I'll keep it short and sweet and tell you this: I am pumped to jaunt around my "backyard" with some of my favorite people. I am proud at how far I've been able to push myself, and can't wait to kick some butt and tackle a good old-fashioned mental and physical challenge. I feel lucky that I'll have my amazing parents and friends along the course to cheer us on, and I am already looking forward to the beer and cheeseburger that were promised to me as soon as I cross the finish line. Not to mention that soon enough, I'll have my hands on a shiny medal to add to my growing collection. What more could a girl ask for?

Here goes nothin', friends. Until after the race...
