LAUREL, Md. (WUSA) -- A Laurel police spokesperson told us Thursday afternoon that a female student was arrested and charged after Laurel High School was put on lockdown.
Laurel High School was put on lockdown after a female student reported that another girl threatened her with a gun, says Laurel Police Spokesperson Jim Collins. He says it was reported at approximately 8 a.m. Thursday around the time of the first bell.
Police talked to the victim and tried to locate the girl who may have a gun, but did not find anyone.
A police spokesperson now says that the report was fraudulent.
