Christopher Johnson, charged with first degree assault, first degree sex offense and armed robbery in Gaithersburg, Md
GAITHERSBURG, Md. (WUSA) -- Montgomery County Police arrested a Montgomery Village man on Tuesday for sexually assaulting a woman at knifepoint in a laundry room in Gaithersburg.
The sexual assault happened in a laundry room in the 700 block of Quince Orchard Boulevard at approximately 9:40 a.m. on Dec. 7.
Police say a man followed the 28-year-old female victim into a laundry room in an apartment building, then took out a knife and sexually assaulted the victim. The suspect then took personal property from the victim before fleeing.

Police collected DNA evidence and searched against the Maryland Combined DNA Index System. A warrant was then issued for 21-year-old Christopher Johnson of Montgomery Village.
Johnson was arrested on Tuesday, Feb. 7 and charged with first degree assault, first degree sex offense and armed robbery. He is being held without bond. His bond review is scheduled for Wednesday at 1 p.m. in the Rockville District Court.
