NEW CARROLLTON, Md. (WUSA) -- The "young men" found dead Monday night, in Prince George's County, have been identified, police said.

Smith is a student at Charles Flowers High School in Greenbelt.
Police were called out to conduct a welfare check on a person found in the 5300 block of 85th avenue, just down the street from the New Carrollton Metro Station. Police arriving on scene discovered the body of a young man suffering from unknown trauma to the body. Paramedics pronounced the man dead at the scene.
Approximately 45 minutes later, members of the Prince George's County Fire Department found a second body lying near a bike in the area of 78th Avenue and Garrison Road. Rodriguez says the young adult male was also found to have unknown body trauma and was pronounced dead at the scene.
Since both Smith and Thompson's bodies were found in close proximity to each other, police are investigating the possibility the two incidents may be related. So far, no direct evidence has been found at either scene that could link the two incidents.
Detectives are working to identify the suspect(s) and establish a motive in both cases. The investigation is ongoing.
