Pups' Big Game Predicts Super Bowl Winner
ROCKVILLE, Md. (WUSA) -- Dogs at the Pet Dominion Animal Inn, clad in blue or red bandanas, played their own version of the Super Bowl on Friday, with the Pawtriots and New Yap Growlers taking the field.
The teams, composed of lodging and daycare dogs, played for two hours, with the New Yap Growlers ahead 24 - 17, which could bode well for the New York Giants on Sunday in Indianapolis.
MVP (Most Valuable Pup) awards went to two Bonnie the beagle and the energetic Barcus. All players received trophies and treats to take home.
The Pet Dominion Puppy Bowl is held annually at the pet resort, which also holds other holiday-themed celebrations.
