WASHINGTON (WUSA) -- DC Police officers are on the scene of a suspected meth lab in Northwest.
Police tell 9 NEWS NOW a fire broke out in a fourth floor apartment in the 1600 block of R Street shortly before midnight. An investigation into the cause of the fire led to the discovery of suspicious materials which may indicate a meth lab was being operated in the apartment.
Investigators with the United States Drug Enforcement Administration are on their way to the scene.
So far no one has been arrested.
None of the other apartments were damaged in the fire and no serious injuries were reported.
