FORT WASHINGTON, Md. (WUSA)--- The identification of the body found Thursday afternoon will be "a long drawn out process," according to Julie Parker, spokesperson for Prince George's County Police Department.

Members of the PGPD Academy Class Session #120 are conducting a grid search of the surrounding area of the well. They are looking for any evidence related to this case, says Parker this morning.

She says the well sits about 11 feet from a vacant house.

The preparation for the excavation of the well will take the majority of the time today.

The identification of the body will not happen until after the body is taken out of the well.
