New Carrollton, Md. (WUSA) New Carrollton police captured a suspected home invader after a foot chase this morning. Two other suspects escaped and are being sought.
The incident happened at 10:50 am in the 84-hundred block of Carrollton Parkway.
Police say they got a 9-11 call from the home from one victim while the home invasion was underway. Two men inside the house fought off the three male attackers, who were seen fleeing on foot by New Carrollton police as they arrived at the house.
The two victims were college students preparing to return to school after winter break, police at the scene said. Both suffered scrapes and bruises from the fight.
Police reported that items from the home were taken, but they did not provide specific information.
Early reports that an assault weapon may have been involved proved to be unfounded. The nearby Carrollton Elementary School was put on lockdown as a precaution.

Suspect #1: Black Male, 18-20 years of age, approximately 5'11" to 6'00" in height, thin build, and last seen wearing all black clothing. The suspect is considered armed and dangerous and should not be approached.
Suspect #2: Black Male, 18-20 years of age, approximately 5'10" to 5'11" in height, thin build, and last seen wearing a dark blue jacket and dark pants. The suspect is considered armed and dangerous and should not be approached.
Both are considered to be armed and dangerous.
