CHESAPEAKE BEACH, Md. (WUSA) -- A two-alarm fire caused a total of $146,000 in damage to a home in Calvert County.
According to the report from the Maryland State Fire Marshal, an electrical malfunction inside the kitchen caused the fire to the single-family home at 5200 Bayside Road on Sunday morning. The report also says that the home was an "empty rental property between tenants" and that no one was hurt.
Fifty firefighters arrived at the scene and battled the blaze to get it under control in an hour.
