WOODBRIDGE, Va. (WUSA) -- A Nokesville man is charged for allegedly shooting at a house over a dispute with a homeowner and accidentally shooting another home.
Twenty-year-old Richard James Ocksrider of Nokesville was arrested Jan. 2, for a shooting reported on June 22, 2011, according to Prince William County Police.
Police say two residences in the 3000 block of Seminole Rd were struck by bullets between 3:15 and 3:30 a.m. The investigation revealed that someone allegedly shot at one residence but inadvertently struck a second residence. No one was injured.
Police executed a search warrant at Ocksrider's home after identifying him as a suspect through information given to them. They say they found two handguns and cash.
Ocksrider is now charged with 2 counts of shooting into an occupied dwelling and 1 count of attempted malicious wounding.
Ocksrider has a court date set for Feb. 9, and is being held without bond.
