CYBERSPACE (AP) - A part-time Target employee has made his company the target of an online petition.
At issue: the company's decision to open for Black Friday shoppers at midnight - even as some are still digesting their Thanksgiving dinner. Anthony Hardwick of Omaha, Nebraska claims the midnight opening will mean he and other Target workers will have to miss Thanksgiving gatherings to get ready for work that night.
The petition asks Target push back its opening to 5 a.m. Target says the midnight opening is in response to customer demand.
It also says Hardwick is not scheduled to work at his Target outlet on Thanksgiving night or Black Friday.
