WASHINGTON, DC (WUSA)-- In just a few days the American Diabetes Association National Capitol Area Step Out walk will take place.
Diabetes has been called the tsunami of diseases.
The Center for Disease Control say nearly half or all Americans will have Diabetes by 2020 if dramatic lifestyle changes aren't made.
This week on 9NEWS NOW in the morning we've been discussing the dangers of diabetes and how to manage the disease.

The walk is Saturday October 22nd.
Registrations begins at 8am, the walk starts at 10am.
