ROCKVILLE, Md. (WUSA) -- Two Montgomery County residents are recovering from snake bites at Shady Grove Adventist Hospital.

Officials say recent storms lured the snakes from wooded habitats. Residents are warned to be on the look-out for more possible snake attacks.

Only two of the 27 snakes in Maryland, Copperheads and Timber Rattlesnakes, are venomous, according to the Maryland Department of Natural Resources.

Copperheads are said to be the suspect in last night's attacks.
