Selling Your Car Fast, Safe And Efficiently
(USA TODAY) -- A pair of old Honda models, the Accord and Civic, lead the list of the most stolen cars last year, the National Insurance Crime Bureau reports.
In fact, five of the Top 10 on the list of the most stolen cars were 1990s models. After the Toyota Camry at No. 3, the next two are full-size pickups, the Ford and the Chevy.
Here's the list:
1994 Honda Accord
1995 Honda Civic
1991 Toyota Camry
1999 Chevrolet Pickup (Full Size)
1997 Ford F-150 Series/Pickup
2004 Dodge Ram
2000 Dodge Caravan
1994 Acura Integra
2002 Ford Explorer
1999 Ford Taurus
For the first time since 2002, there are more Detroit brands on the list than import brands. Ford accounted for three spots, Dodge for two and Chevrolet for one.
The NICB says that overall, vehicle thefts continue their decline. When the final figures are posted, 2010 will post the fewest vehicle thefts since 1967 because of improved technology.
