WASHINGTON, DC (WUSA) --- Bethesda life coach Lauree Ostrofsky tweets her plans every time she leaves her home here, letting friends and followers know where she is going to be, and when.
If any of those readers is nearby and wants a hug, Lauree will stop by to deliver one.
"The inspiration is that I really want to help people love each other, and I think a hug is the easiest way to do that," she told 9NEWS NOW.
"I was watching Maya Angelou (on television) and she kind of looked into the camera and said 'give what you can' and I thought what if it could be easy, what we have to give? What if it could be something simple as a hug?"
That was the inspiration for Ostrofsky's "hug tour" that she began in April.

"I want people to know hugs are very simple. They just mean I care about you. That's it," she said.
"It's actually changed my life a lot. I realized people wanted this more than I knew. I knew going into it I might have to convince people to let me hug them and they are coming to me."
