ANNAPOLIS, MD (WUSA)--- Watersports are a big part of life around the Maryland area.  Anyone who has ever been sailing knows it offers some of the best views on the bay.

WUSA 9 chief photographer, Erik Lee, spent the day with a student who will soon be able to captain his own boat.

There are several sailing schools in Annapolis that teach the fundamentals on steering and safety.
