SEAT PLEASANT, Md. (WUSA)--Prince George's County Police say that at approximately 4:40 a.m., Saturday, a passing motorist alerted authorities of a male lying in the roadway of Addison Road South near Central Avenue.
Police say that when officers arrived, they found a 34 year old male in the northbound lanes of Addison Road South. The victim, found with trauma consistent with a pedestrian collision, was transported to a local hospital where he was pronounced dead a short time later.
Police officials say the preliminary investigation revealed that the victim was struck by a vehicle traveling northbound while attempting to cross Addison Road South. The striking vehicle continued northbound without stopping and the victim was not on a crosswalk.
