Pink Jams and Shoot for Change present 'A Thousand Words' against breast cancer

PINK JAMS!

WASHINGTON, DC (WUSA)-- Angie Goff reports a new exhibit that uses the power of words to move people in the fight against breast cancer.

PHOTOS: 'A Thousand Words' Reception

100 pictures capture how breast cancer has impacted the lives in our community. Survivors and their families, breast cancer advocates, local celebrities bravely shared their experiences with breast cancer.

Christa Floresca of Pink Jams and photographer Walter Grio of Shoot for Change teamed up for the exhibit titled 'A Thousand Words.'The show was held at the Atlas Theater in Northeast.

Some familiar faces featured included former Miss DC Kate Marie Grinold, DC Housewives' Lynda Erkiletian, 105.9 The Edge's Kirk McEwen and Mike O'Meara.
