WASHINGTON (WUSA) -- Two men ran and called for help at 14th and U Streets NW after they were hit in a drive-by shooting at 14th and V Streets Thursday.
Authorities have been identified the victims as 19-year-old Marquette Hunter and 20-year-old Devon Narce. Both were shot in the ankle while at 14th and V.
DC Fire and EMS transported the two, who have non-life threatening injuries, from 14th and U Streets NW.
DC Police have put out a lookout for a black male with a dark complexion, in his early 20s, wearing a black hat and blue pants. He fled the scene in a green Toyota or Honda seen driving away on 15th Street.
Police are canvassing the area. U Street is closed between 13th and 14th Street NW. Please avoid the area. Rush hour traffic in the area will be effected by the street closures.
Investigators say this shooting was between feuding street gangs in the U Street area.
DC Councilman Jim Graham told 9NEWS NOW that as we enter the summer, authorities have to get serious about dealing with gang members and send a message that they are going to be tough of gangs.
