WASHINGTON (WUSA) -- Two pictures of the East Coast Rapist suspect taken a decade apart have surfaced.
The oldest picture was taken in June 2001 in Prince William County when Aaron Thomas was arrested on domestic assault and battery charges.
The most recent picture comes from his arrest in New Haven, Connecticut last week in connection with the East Coast Rapist case (courtesy of Connecticut Department of Correction).
Aaron Thomas was arrested Friday in Connecticut. Authorities believe he assaulted at least 17 women from Virginia to Rhode Island. Police say DNA confirmed Thomas is person they dubbed the East Coast Rapist.

Thomas allegedly confessed to many of the attacks and is cooperating with investigators. Investigators say Thomas saw the billboards go up near his current home in Connecticut and figured it was only a matter of time before he was caught.
Police say a data-sharing system, combined with a tip from Prince George's County, Md., helped crack the case of the man accused of a series of rapes on the East Coast.
Prince William County Commonwealth's Attorney Paul Ebert says he expects Connecticut will prosecute Thomas first, but that he faces multiple life sentences in Virginia.
