WASHINGTON (WUSA) -- A pregnant woman and her boyfriend were run over by his jealous ex-girlfriend police said.

It happened January 6th, just after 11 a.m. at 208 New York Avenue, NW.

Cynthia A. Duckett, 42, of Washington, drove up alongside Roderick Cook and his current, pregnant girlfriend Jonicque Douglas, police said.

Duckett screamed obscenities at the couple. She then threatened to "cut the baby out of that b---h," police said.

Cook grabbed Duckett by the scarf and arm, according to the police report. Then, he took her back to her car, which was parked on the curb, police said.

That's when Duckett got in the driver's seat and ran him and the pregnant woman over, police said.

Douglas had to be rushed to the hospital, where an emergency C-section was performed to deliver her baby, police said. Medical personnel deduced the umbilical cord had separated from the baby during the accident. Douglas and the baby survived the incident.

Duckett sped away after running her car into the couple, police said. She was tracked down via cell phone and arrested. She is charged with assault with intent to kill while armed.
