Consumer Alert: Stolen Items on Auction Sites

WASHINGTON, DC (WUSA) -- The National Retail Federation is warning shoppers to steer clear of common household products sold on auction sites.

The NRF says these items could be stolen or tainted and pose a health risk to consumers.

The products carry popular brand names of pain relievers, cosmetics and even baby formula.
