Trick or Tweet

WASHINGTON (WUSA) -- Here's a tweet that's not so sweet. A money making offer in 140 characters or less.

The Better Business Bureau says sites like EasyTweetProfits.com promise to teach you how to make hundreds of dollars a day from the comforts of home.

You send them $1.95 for a free seven day trial instructional CD rom. But the BBB says buried in the small print, is a clause that states the trial begins when you order that CD. And, if you don't cancel in seven days you'll be charged $47 every month.

To avoid these kinds of scams, steer clear of offers to make money with little to no experience.

Don't pay something up front for the job.

And watch out for tweet offers. The BBB says there could be links that send you to spam sites or install malware on your computer.
