Group seeks to halt foreclosures in Md. temporarily

WASHINGTON (WUSA9) -- Foreclosures are down across the country. In Maryland, it's just the opposite. According to RealtyTrac, foreclosures in the state are up 97 percent.

One group wants foreclosures to stop temporarily, so homeowners can save their homes, but organizers say they need your help.

Carmen Johnson with the Housing Chair of the The Maryland State Conference NAACP joined us to talk about a rally to freeze foreclosures. The rally happens Monday from 4:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. at the State House in Annapolis.
