MANASSAS, Va. (WUSA9) — A teen has been charged in the rape of a girl in a hotel room in Manassas.
The alleged rape occurred in a hotel in the 7300 block of Old Centerville Rd. on April 15. Several teens were attending a party in one of the rooms and drinking alcohol, police say.
Sometime after 3 a.m., police say the 17-year-old male of Manassas sexually assaulted the victim when she became unconscious.
The victim returned home later that morning and reported the incident to a school resource officer on April 17, sparking the investigation.
The accused teen was arrested and detained 2 days later and charged with rape and object sexual penetration. He is being held at a juvenile detention center.
