The Washington National Cathedral will be hosting an interfaith prayer vigil on Friday, the eve of the March for Our Lives.
“Students and leaders from many faith traditions will lead this prayer service recognizing the breadth of trauma caused by gun violence, including community shootings, gang violence, school massacres, and suicide,” the Cathedral said in a statement.
According to the Cathedral, the service will honor those lost to gun violence. Families of the victims of the Parkland school shooting will be in attendance, including the family of Carmen Schentrup.
Tickets are not required, but the Cathedral is requesting people register so that they may better prepare for the number of people in attendance.
Doors open at 6 p.m. and seating is first come, first serve. Participants can register here.
