WASHINGTON, D.C. (WUSA) - Ivy, a Labrador Retriever mix, visited our studios on Thursday in hopes of reaching a 9News Now viewer who will give her a forever home.
Ivy was accompanied by Kathi Stanhope, a volunteer with the Montgomery County Humane Society in Rockville.
Here's a little more information about Ivy:
Tag #252
ID#A360024
Labrador Retriever Mix, female, spayed upon adoption, brindle & black, 5 yrs.
"Don't let the gray around my muzzle fool you - I'm a 'gently mature' lady at 5 years, so you'll know what you're getting when you bring me into your family. You'll find me friendly and sweet, and, according to our staff trainer, super calm. I like people and am relaxed around other dogs. I walk nicely on a leash and would make a nice walking companion and maybe even a swimming partner! The trainer also says I'm outgoing and well-mannered, capable of learning many behaviors if you use only positive reinforcement methods with me. Note: You will definitely need a solid (not chain link) 6' to 8' high fence for me! Try me out on some of the modern canine activities like Nose Work or Rally-O - I'm 'the real deal'!
