Ellen Bryan's 5 Ingredients: Dark chocolate almond clusters

Dark Chocolate Almond Clusters recipes

WASHINGTON (WUSA9) - This week’s recipe is for dark chocolate almond clusters, and it’s so simple! It involves only four ingredients total, two of them you probably have sitting in your kitchen right now.

Almonds (2 cups)
Dark Chocolate Chips (8 oz)
Sea Salt
Raw Sugar

Put wax paper down on a baking pan and spread two cups of almonds on top.
Roast the almonds in the oven at 300 degrees for 10 – 12 minutes.
Be sure to stir the almonds at around 5-6 minutes.

Melt 8 oz of dark chocolate chips in the microwave.
Depending on your microwave strength, it should take around 3 minutes.
Be careful! Stir the chocolate every 30 seconds to prevent it from burning.

Mix the roasted almonds with the melted dark chocolate.
Once the almonds are coated with chocolate, scoop clusters of almonds onto the wax paper.
Sprinkle sea salt and raw sugar on top.

Put the pan in the refrigerator for a couple hours.
Once the clusters harden and can be easily peeled off the wax paper, you’re done!

These are great to have sitting out if you’re hosting a dinner party. But my favorite suggestion is to store them in the freezer. Then anytime you want a sweet (and relatively healthy) snack, there’s no work required!

Sally’s Baking Addition has even more ideas (like adding sprinkles to these with the sea salt!)
