Pickles is a sweet little kitten that just arrived from Foster Care. She is very people friendly and the "cuddler" in the group. She is vocal when hungry, but otherwise very quiet and observant. She is a master at scouting out the tallest perch at home so she can overlook her domain appropriately. Pickles is 8 weeks old, up-to-date on vaccines, and has tested negative for Feline Leukemia and FIV. For more information, contact the Frederick County Animal Control Division at 301-600-1546 or LSHEA@fredco-md.net.

Semone, a 2-year-old female brown Poodle, is one of 15 dogs the Montgomery County Humane Society rescued from a backyard breeder in Upper Marlboro last week. Semone gets along well with other dogs and would do great in a multi-dog home. She was groomed, vaccinated, micro chipped and given heartworm and flea/tick preventative. Potty training and leash walking are a work in progress! New adopters will need to be patient. Can you make room in your heart and home to help rehabilitate this sweet heart? Visit the MCHS Rescue located at 607 South Stonestreet Avenue in Rockville, MD. For more information go to Montgomery County Humane Society or call 240-453-9401.

Windy would make a great addition to your home. The Animal Welfare League of Montgomery County rescued Windy from an animal shelter where she was at risk of being euthanized. Windy had been brought to the shelter because she was being bullied by other cats in her home. She is about 2 years old, declawed, and very well behaved. Windy is extremely affectionate and is looking for a new best friend. If you are looking to add a feline to your family, you won?t find a better candidate than Windy. You can see Windy at the AWLMC annual household cat show, which is at the Montgomery County Fairgrounds on April 26, 2008 from 10 AM to 4 PM. For more information, please contact us at 301-740-2511 or email us at adopt@awlmc.org.
