Happy is a very fitting name for this little guy who is always cheerful and carefree. He's a neutered male Lhasa Apso/Poodle Mix (also known as a Lhasapoo) and weighs 20 lbs. Happy is 2 1/2-years-old and has a smile for everyone he meets. He enjoys playing with other dogs but really shines when it comes to his people skills. If you would like to learn more about Happy, call The Briggs Animal Adoption Center at 304-724-6558 and ask to speak with an Adoption Counselor, or check out our Dogs for Adoption page at www.baacs.org.

I am Fiona and just the sweetest young senior lady beagle. I'm about 8 years old. And I can't figure out what happened to my family! One day I was home, the next day I was looking for a home. I have some housetraining issues - which I know you can help me with. Take me out for a nice long walk on a leash so I get plenty of exercise and a chance to smell and use my own potty area outdoors. I'll sniff everything else outdoors, too! Like most beags, I can be pretty vocal at times, so you'll also need to be sure your home environment and neighbors will take kindly to my beautiful music. Treat me kindly and I'll give you a bunch more good years of unconditional love. For more, contact Montgomery County Humane Society, 240-773-5960.

I'm Shine, a 3-year-old Jack Russell Terrier. I was exploring Temple Hills for my new forever family, and the next thing I knew I was here! I'm a very friendly, loving girl with a curious personality and a nose for news like most pups of my breed! I had glaucoma in my right eye. It hurt and was infected. The vet said the best thing would be to remove my eye. Once he did my pain was gone, so I'm definitely feeling better. When I'm not smelling everything around me, I'll happily relax on the couch with you and give you tons of kisses. I walk pretty well on a leash and enjoy just about everything! I don't really get along well with other pups, so I'd do best as an "only dog" in my new home. I'm all grown up at an apartment-friendly 18lbs! For more, contact the Washington Humane Society, 202-723-5730.

Noelle was left in a crate too much and not given proper nutrition, but she's making up for it now. She's a tough, active little girl who loves the outdoors, even when it's cold and snowy. When she's not exploring the great outdoors, teasing her foster brother, or feeding her "bottomless pit," Noelle likes to spend time with people, curling up for a nap in any lap that's offered. Noelle likes other dogs and would make a good companion for another pet. With her activity level, she would probably do best with active adults or a family with children 6 years and older. Miss Marbles is very sweet and social. She wants to hop about and explore and is very bored if confined or left into a cage. She wants attention and is easy to hold. A very fun bunny who will delight you with her leaps into the air (we call those binkys) and this means she is happy. For more information, contact Bunny Lu Adoptions at 703-753-0833.
