WASHINGTON, D.C. (WUSA) -- After identifying $30 million in unreported 2011 General Services Administration bonuses and $8 million in overtime, 9 Wants to Know is publishing the entire database online to continue combing through the 13,710 payroll records by crowdsourcing.
Crowdsourcing gives the public access to data collected by journalists, speeding analysis and adding diversity to context.
The WUSA9 payroll database allows users to report their own findings after searching individual workers by
name, payrolls of entire GSA locations, and sorting through the agency's
salaries, overtime costs, unused leave pay, and bonuses paid.
