WASHINGTON (WUSA) -- The Richmond Times-Dispatch reports that the city council "approved an amended version of the development agreement to build a summer training camp facility for the Washington Redskins" on Thursday afternoon.

According to the Times-Dispatch the measure was the final step for setting "the deal in motion."

Plans call for two football fields, a fieldhouse and drill field on Leigh Street. The facility, expected to cost up to $10 million, would be funded by sponsorships and lease payments, officials told the Times-Dispatch.

Construction on the facility could start as soon as next week, according to an official.
